Director of Sport Services
Sue Hylland will join #uOSMC16 for the closing address. Her extensive background in the sports industry has enabled her to experience the world of sport in countless capacities. Most notably, prior to her latest appointment as Director of Sport Services at uOttawa, she was President and CEO of the Canada Games Council since 2002.
Hylland also spent time as Executive Director of the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) and spent 18 years with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). While, at the COC Hylland had the opportunity to experience being Team Captain and lead staff for Canadian operations at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney.
Hylland’s extensive Sport CV does not end there. She was also a CIS coach, a student-athlete at Bishop’s University (named to the All-Canadian Women’s Basketball Team), and co-captain of the Quebec women’s basketball team at the 1979 Canada Winter Games. More recently, Hylland has been a proud parent of CIS athletes. With this vast array of experience accompanying Hylland’s presence at uOSBC’s inaugural conference, we are both incredibly appreciative and excited to announce her attendance.
