Jen Boyd was named the head coach of the Gee-Gees in June of 2013. Boyd was named the RSEQ and CIS Coach of the Year in 2014 and RSEQ Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2016. In March of 2017, Boyd was honoured as the Rugby Canada Female Coach of the Year. She is also a four-time winner of the Ottawa Sports Award for Female Coach of the Year, having most recently won the award in 2016.
The NCCP level three certified coach started her playing career in the RSEQ as a player at Bishop’s University. After four years in purple, Boyd earned her Bachelor of Science degree and enrolled at the University of Ottawa for her Bachelor of Education where she played and captained one season for the Gee-Gees. Boyd’s career stretches over two decades during which time she played club, provincial and national level rugby. She wore the Maple Leaf over a span of three years, earning caps against New Zealand, England, USA and Scotland.
Jen is also the head coach of the Rugby Canada U-20 Women's Team, which she has been in charge of since 2016.
