Sylvie Bigras
Senior Communication Specialist

Sylvie is a proud alumni of the University of Ottawa Sports Management and former Gee-Gee athlete. As Senior Communications Specialist at the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) she works on developing major communications plans and operational strategies for the National Team. Sylvie is proficient in six languages and has owned and operated her own communications company for almost 20 years. Her expertise includes: Media Relations, Games Communications, Hosting, Facilitating, and Moderating.

 

Prior to being Senior Communications Specialist, Sylvie spent time as the COC’s Press Chief, Communications Chief for the Commonwealth Games, and a member of the Board of Governors for Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.

 

She was named to the 2010 list of Top 20 “Most Influential Women in Sport” by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport (CAAWS) for her role as Press Chief for the Canadian Team at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. With this strong background and experience in the world of sport Communications we are very excited to welcome Sylvie to #uOSMC16!
